Healthy Kids Day at the YMCA
Today was the 2008 Healthy Kids Day at the YMCA. The event was from 10am-1pm. There were about 12 stations for Kids and their parents to stop by. At each station they could recieve a sticker for participating and taking information. (There was a prize drawing for people who went to all the stations) I was in charge of working with the 4-H station. I had a game of bean bags and a basket set up for kids to try their skills out with, and then stickers, temporary tattoos, and brochures that talked about 4-H. I had the chance to talk with a lot of parents, and kids about joining 4-H, camp, and other opportunities. I had a few parents that were really interested in getting their kids to join, and I think that this was a great chance for parents to really see that 4-H isn't just for farm kids anymore!
