Week of Meetings

This week I have participated in a lot more meetings that usual. Monday I had two, and we had an office conference yesterday. Today I went with Mark to the Camp Board Meeting. A lot of the issues they discussed were familar topics (Risk management, funds/budgeting/staffing) but I guess I never realized the responsibility that gets rested on the shoulders of the board to make sure that camp keeps moving. The people on the board (and at the camp) work very hard to make sure that the three months of camps (going in and out) goes smoothly. It was nice to see the group of educators working together to acheieve a main goal. Another big thing that I saw was the amount of networking. I guess that proves when you work together in a region, you tend to see those people quite a bit.
Tomorrow I will be back in the office, and hopefully helping Mark with Farm Discovery Days. I will also be starting to put the final touches on the officer training. Tomorrow evening I will be going with Mark (and the Junior Leaders club) to meet up with another county Junior Leaders club for a social activity. I am pretty excited to compare the two groups, and meet the junior leaders from my county. Things are starting to get hectic, and I'm sure it won't be slowing down anytime soon!
