This morning we got a call from the classroom teacher who is doing the embrology. A couple of the eggs had been crushed over the weekend, and the incubator was a mess. We took a new incubator down and cleaned up the mess. Three of the eggs had been damaged, and we ended up not being able to get the "gunk" off of the incubator well enough to salvage it. We think it was a malfunction of the piece that turns the eggs, but it was also stated that it might have been tampered with (the school is also a church). The only "good" part of the whole incident is that we know for sure that the eggs are forming because there was a partially formed embro and yolk in the mess.
I worked the rest of the day typing out the lesson plans from the officer training, and making suggestions for each area for next year. Mark and I were both worried that the lesson plans would be too formal for the volunteers, but I think in the end they helped them (and just used them as a reference) I did not complete the information today, but I hope to have it all done and ready by the end of the week.
I will also be updating and working on the camp counselour training webpage. It is a type of distance learning that enables the kids to evade gas prices and get the neccessary information in by camp to be prepared. They still meet face to face, but this keeps the formal rules, and information to more of a learning scenario. I will be adding about 6 modules laster on this week.
Tomorrow is the Real Money, Real World. It will be all day, and I will selling "clothing" to each kid. I can't wait to see how they react!
