Dr. Gee comes to visit!

Today was a busy day in the office. This morning I got to meet Dr. Gee for a visit with the campus. He was a very nice man, and I hope that he stays as vibrant, and passionate about the university as I just saw him! I have been preparing for the Officer Training that is this week. It is my "big project" and I'm hoping that it goes as well as planned. I have formed each officer station, and secured volunteers. I am currently working on getting each office their copies, and word puzzles (for time fillers if needed) The logistics of the event are slowly coming together. I will need to send information to the fairgrounds for setup, and I will be decorating on Wednesday. Shopping for materials will also be done on Wednesday!

On top of all the materials that I have been preparing for, Mark let me conduct his New Adviser training today! It was a little different than what I am used to, since they are all adults, and I have to go over basic rules and suggestions with them. I was really nervous, but I think in the end I found a happy medium of humor, and explanation. I hope to see the training become more interactive in the next few years, and I hope that Mark can get more and more advisers to attend the sessions in the future.
