More planning

Today I spent the day working on more officer training, the farm discovery days, and also on some other mini projects as they came around. My biggest challenge today was to write the officer lesson plans for each office. So far I have two volunteers who are planning (along with me) their lessons for the group. The other ones I am writing up, and I will be giving them to the volunteer about an hour before the training. I have been careful to make sure that they have all the supplies and information they need to be comfortable training the kids for the office positions. I also have "recruited" the Junior Leaders to work with the Recreation office. I am really excited to get them involved in the activity, and get working with some of the youth in their county. The lesson plans follow the template that I used in the 530 methods class, and basically map out each office. I didn't write out exact words, but I feel that the information flows well enough for them to be comfortable, but still themself.
Tomorrow I will be listening in on a teleconference for "newbies" in extension. The topics tomorrow are mostly about "training others" but I am hoping to pull some ideas out of the conference. It is a "web teleconference" so I am interested to see how that all works together.
