Today I was able to make considerable progress on various projects that I have been working on. The morning started with an office conference about what is going on with each of the educators this week. After the conference I called to find empty canisters for the buttermaking ASP for this evening. We were able to get an entire trash bag of empty caninsters. Before I got all of the ASP stuff done for the afternoon, I also made a phone call about donations for the Disovery Days and entered registrations for the elementary's that are attending.
This afternoon I spent the last few hours at a local elementary doing buttermaking. The audience for this ASP was much different than that of the CSG that we worked with last quarter. I adapted the lesson (with some much needed help from Mark) and I think that the kids really enjoyed making butter. I think that they were suprised that they made butter, and that it didn't taste exactly like what they had in the fridge at home. I was really happy that they joined in with singing "The butter song" with a little bit of encouragement. Hopefully tomorrow I will get more done with the officer training, and have a little better idea of what kind of activities I would like to do!
