Tuesday, April 1

My day was filled with lots of mini activities and projects. I started the morning by answering emails regarding the farm discovery days. We are going to be receicing some cool stuff from the Corn Growers Association, along with the Dairy Association and other organizations. I was suprised to find that the Soybean Council is no longer doing any kind of educational donation materials.
After I worked on that stuff, I changed paces and worked with the camp counselor information for the weekend. I finished up the letter that was emailed to all the counselors, and made sure they knew exactly what to bring and what to expect.
I also worked on ten scenarios that counselors might have while at 4-H camp. Things like natural disasters, missing campers, injuries, and campers who are homesick. I am working on the situations and the "answers" for each of the problems. Mark is going to have the different counselors act out the situations and then tape them and turn them into a pod cast. I plan on working more tomorrow on the situations, and hopefully I have good general problems that can be used by lots of different people.
The finish up the day I did some research on counselor training in other states, and filled bags for the next afterschool agriculture ASP.
I plan on tying up more loose ends tomorrow and hopefully working some more on the officer training for April 30th.
